Prime Constructions is proud to be entering the final stages of delivering a purpose-built manufacturing facility for our trusted client, BlueScope, at Metal Coating Line 7 (MCL7) in Erskine Park, Western Sydney. This landmark development represents a significant investment in Australian manufacturing and will add 240,000 tonnes per annum of production capacity for ZINCALUME® steel, reinforcing BlueScope’s ability to meet growing demand across building and construction markets.

As construction progresses toward completion, the recent installation of a custom gantry crane marked one of the project’s key milestones. The lift required careful planning, technical precision and close coordination between project partners, showcasing the strength of collaboration across teams.

In the first of a series of 2026 project updates, Project Director Mark Lowe provides valuable insight into the progress and strategic importance of MCL7. The video offers a behind-the-scenes look at the facility and outlines how the new line will enhance efficiency, capability and long-term sustainability.

We invite you to watch the progress update and see how this major facility is taking shape as Prime and BlueScope work together to deliver a project that will support Australia’s steel industry for decades to come.
