WesTrac – Crossroads Logistics Centre
Prime Constructions delivered the WesTrac facility at AMP’s Crossroads Logistics Centre in Casula, NSW, a purpose-built 24,000 sqm industrial and office complex officially opened in July 2018. Serving as WesTrac’s Sydney headquarters, the facility integrates sales, service, parts supply, and training for Caterpillar equipment, supporting the construction, mining, marine, and power system sectors.
The project comprises a 3,700 sqm heavy-duty workshop, a 3,000 sqm warehouse with a drive-through parts bay and automated inventory systems, and a 1,200 sqm office area. A 300 sqm product demonstration space allows clients to view and test machinery on-site. Surrounding the workshop, heavy-duty flexible pavements and 16 on-grade roller doors facilitate smooth vehicle and equipment movement, while a new 11kV substation meets the high power demands of the facility.
Strategically located at the intersection of the M5 and M7 motorways, the site offers excellent access to the Moorebank Intermodal Terminal and Western Sydney International Airport development. Developed for AMP Capital on a 15-year lease, the facility accommodates around 150 staff and forms a key operational hub for WesTrac in NSW and the ACT. The project was delivered with careful coordination of complex services and infrastructure, establishing a modern, functional and high-performance industrial headquarters.
