PCYC Community Facility and Carpark

Constructed by Prime, PCYC Northern Beaches is a landmark civic and community facility in Dee Why, delivering a modern sports and youth hub above a multi-level public car park. The three-level podium houses indoor basketball courts, multi-purpose spaces, youth drop-in facilities and a café, prioritising community use within a constrained urban site.

Originally planned as a car park expansion, the project evolved into a celebrated civic building distinguished by its cloud-like long-span steel roof. Designed within a tight budget, the prefabricated curved steel structure optimised efficiency, safety and aesthetics while elevating the community programme above its supporting infrastructure.
